After scoring five goals and adding three assists through seven MLS game throughout February and March, the Herons' superstar striker was named the best in the league through the first two months of the season. The first-ever Inter Miami player to win the award, Luis Suarez had also earned MLS Player of the Matchday twice en-route to claiming the honor.

Suarez has stunned for the Florida team since arriving at South Beach during the offseason. Linking up with Lionel Messi and co. the Uruguayan has singlehandedly helped them to second place in the Eastern Conference through the start of the campaign.
Messi has missed three MLS matches due to injury, and as a result, Suarez was asked to step up, and boy did he. He's started eight of a possible 10 matches, with 12 total goal contributions across all competitions.

The Herons take on the Colorado Rapids Saturday evening in MLS action. Then, they'll turn their attention to Wednesday evening when they travel to Mexico in leg two of their CONCACAF Champions Cup tie with CF Monterrey.
