Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the questionable decision to award Liverpool a penalty after just 26 seconds in the Champions League final.
The game got off to a fast start after Sadio Mane’s attempted cross hit Moussa Sissoko on the chest, before rolling up his arm and onto his hand; after a VAR check, a penalty was awarded and Mohamed Salah stuck it away.

Despite the VAR check, a number of Tottenham supporters still aren’t ready to accept that it was a penalty.
They have questioned who Mane was even attempting to pass the ball to, as there wasn’t an obvious option on should his cross have evaded Sissoko’s arm – some fans think the Senegalese forward deliberately kicked it at the Frenchman.
The decision really took the life out of the game and made the occasion immediately more difficult than it already was for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, and the fans certainly aren’t happy with the referee’s decision judging by their tweets…
