The hostelry, which regularly features in the series and counts co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney among its regulars, launched a Christmas charity campaign featuring a prize draw, a crowdfunding page and the donation its food van takings for the month.
Delighted landlord Wayne Jones announced a grand total of £11,189 ($14,270) wpuld be shared among local charities.

Announcing the amount during the streaming of the prize draw, Jones said: "A really huge thank you to everybody that's donated from around the world.
"Every penny we raise will support and better the lives of the people of our town. Your support ensures that the holiday season is not just about merriment but also about extending a helping hand to those who need it the most."

The Turf not only has claims to be the oldest public house at any stadium in the world it is also the birthplace of Wrexham Football Club. The pub hosted a meeting of the local cricket club in 1864 which resulted in the founding of the football club in October that year.
